James Butler, his fiancee Leighann and I at the 2016 International Coaching Federation -Vancouver Island Chapter AGM at Royal Roads' Hatley Castle.

James and I worked very closely together at Fleet Diving Unit (Pacific) where we planned and built amazing projects. His enthusiasm, love, zest for life and adventure will always be a part of me.

James inspired me, stood for me, and is the main reason I now have the gift of coaching others, an open heart and a free soul. He taught me to never dream too small, to never love too big and to never, ever give up on someone, even when they don't clearly see their own greatness and potential.

His life was lived to the fullest and it was ended far too soon. James died in 2017 doing what he loved, with the woman he loved, amid boundless beauty and in his adventurous spirit.

I love you brother, rest in adventurous peace.
